The Proposal

09-01-19

Long Beach Island NJ, LBI always held a special place in our hearts, and now that love has grown even more. It was an hour before sunset when we joined Aarons family on the beach, there we started playing a well loved ringtoss game called “Muckers” As we switched teams, we joined eachother on the same side. There in the sand he got down on his knee to ask the one question we’ve all been waiting for Will you marry me? Of course there were tears and MANY surprised “What’s?! and Really?!” seeing as this was totally not expected on vacation. Aaron was so excited he decided to ask the first day we were there so we were able to spend Vacation as “Engaged” So now, our story continues.

The Wedding

04-11-2021

It's definitely not what we planned. But being it's God's plan, it was better. Our wedding took place amongst the craziest parts of Covid-19. The unknown of the virus was the biggest issue, we hadn't thought it would derail one of the most special moments of our lives with all of you! It happened very quick, March 27th is when we received a phone call telling us we were exposed to Covid due to a family member. That's when it became surreal we would be risking everyone's safety by having a wedding. We owned a house ready to move in, not to mention we were so ready after 6 years to tie the knot! During our quarantine, we prayed with our family and friends over the decision we had ahead. We wanted our "normal" celebration, but we also wanted to start our lives together considering there was no saying when this pandemic would be over (still not a year later). After careful consideration, we planned to get married the day after quarantine was up. We were BLOWN AWAY by the support of all of our loved ones. Day after day boxes were being delivered to our house to help fill the void of essentials we were missing. By our wedding day, we had just about everything we would need to live in a house. Then the day came. Lillie Mingle brought us stunning flower arrangements, the Bowers set up their yard beautifully with flowers given by the garden center across the street, a cross was made by our father Dan Bowers to remind us of Christs role in this. The only thing missing was the celebration involving all of you. We are so elated to see you all, to celebrate a year later doesn't take away from the joy we will experience April 24th, 2021.
