How it all began...

From the Friend Zone to Fiance

Sheldon and I went to school together from kindergarten until graduation. I guess our story really begins in second grade- the moment my mama loved him first. The story goes a little something like me spilling lunch tray. As my embarrassed, second grade self tried to hurriedly clean the mess before too many people noticed, sweet little Sheldon had went back on his own and dipped me another one. :') Such a gentleman. Since then my mama had always adored him. She would often ask me how he was doing. My replies were always short because despite our second grade meet cute, we simply were never close friends. Fast forward to sophomore year. The guy I was dating at the time- whom I thought was Mr. right- and I had broken up and Sheldon was there again with his gentle self to help pick me up. We became best friends to say the least. I knew he liked me and I knew in my heart that I liked him back. On our first "date" I actually knew I loved him. I had never fallen so fast and hard for anyone the way I did for him. He accepted me- plain and simple. Despite my feelings I didn't want to let him out of the friend zone for fear of ruining the friendship we had acquired. Finally, after a couple dates and me coming to my senses, I decided to give him a chance. It has been nothing short of amazing since. We are over the moon to take the next step with each and every one of you!!

The Yes day

8.11.20

The day he proposed we were in California celebrating my birthday. We woke up and got ready to head to San Fran for the remainder of the trip. The day did not go how I imagined my birthday to go which put me in a bad mood for most of the day. When we got to San Fran there were homeless people lining the street outside our hotel that we did not expect which caused fear. Mom and I were upset with the events we almost didn't go out that night to explore the sights. Nevertheless, we decided it was best to go out anyways to the mountains that overlooked the Golden Gate bridge. Despite still being in a mood I knew we needed a picture in front of the bridge. I assumed we were going to snap a quick picture but Instead he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!! It could not have been more perfect & my day was instantly made!
