Traveling from the USA to the North Island of New Zealand gives you two options for international airports: Wellington and Auckland. If you pick Wellington, a scenic 2-hour drive will take you to Palmerston North, where we're excited to welcome you. Alternatively, if Auckland is your entry point, you can catch a connecting flight to Palmerston North Airport. We highly recommend Air New Zealand for any connecting domestic flights. They provide snacks and beverages from local vendors and a great introduction to the island. They also have international flights from SFO, but for long-haul trips, we suggest opting for economy plus or higher, as their basic economy seats might not be the comfiest. Other options for international airlines include Qantas, American Airlines, Air Tahiti Nui, and Fiji Airways listed in order of price from highest to lowest. Our personal preference is Air Tahiti Nui. The layover in Tahiti provides a refreshing pause during the long flight and presents breathtaking scenery. Be sure to visit their website about 6 weeks out for the best deals.
Rental Car

The Wellington and Palmerston North Airports offer a variety of vehicles for rent, catering to different price ranges. There's also a well-regarded public transport system in New Zealand that can take you anywhere you need to go. While Uber and Lyft operate here, it's worth noting that their availability can be limited outside of urban areas. If you're uncomfortable with driving on the left side of the road, we're arranging for local friends and family to assist you with transportation – feel free to let us know if you require this assistance. For your convenience, we'll arrange transportation via a bus to and from the wedding venue. Additionally, if you're considering staying on-site for the wedding weekend, camping is an option. More information regarding camping arrangements will be provided with your invitations.

We can't wait to spend time with all of you. To make that happen, we've decided to delay our honeymoon plans to give us more time to enjoy your company. Before the wedding, we'll be busy getting everything ready, and any extra hands are welcome. After that, we're all set to have some fun adventures with you and take you to our favorite spots. We're aiming to coordinate our schedules to join you for parts of your adventures. We'll also put together a week-after itinerary of local places we're eager to explore together.
