We're getting Married!

Doing lyft one morning I was looking for a place to get some breakfast. There was this restaurant across the street from where I dropped off my last rider but unfortunately they didnt open until 11am so I decided to keep driving. One of my best friends call me and invited me to lunch and since i had seen that restaurant earlier I suggested The Busy Bee, she agreed. We get seated and as we are waiting I look up to see this guy putting dishes away. The host that had been chatting us up the whole time comes over to our table to “check on us” ( he was tryin to flirt lol but too old for our liking 😉) and when he did I asked if he could do me a favor. I asked him if he could go in the back and tell the guy in the “yellow hat” that i thought he was gorgeous, he laughed and asked “a guy in her?!? I responded with “yes, in the kitchen... the yellow hat.” He goes back there and tells him, Demetrius states he came out to look at who the girl was and when he saw me he told him to go get my number for him.... we hung out the next day and have spent everyday together since.

We decided to surprise my dad for his Birthday by flying into California. When we told Demetrius’ mom about the trip she said she would like to go too so we planned it. Turned out to be the whole family making this trip which I knew my dad was gonna love it! We arrive, surprise him and get the festivities going. At the end of the weekend we decided to take the family to San Francisco since it was their first time visiting... we get to The Golden Gate Bridge Vista North and take in all the beautiful scenery. The fog made the day even more precious. Photos, laughs and moments were shared. After the last family photo, Demetrius asks me if I’m ready, i respond with “Yea, we can go”... he then continues with, “we have spent everyday together since the day we met and even back then I knew we would make this journey together. “ ... I was so confused and even asked him what he was talking about, he continued “I just want to know if you’re ready to make this journey to forever with me?” Me still confused, he steps back... gets on one knee and says, “I just want to know if you’re with for the ride, will you marry me?!” I cried of course, but when he opened that box and I saw my Grandmas ring, I thought to myself “How could I say no!!! He’s obvoiusly has everyones approval” I nodded yes and then said it through the tears. So when I thought the weekend was about surprising my parents, I ended up being the one who was suprised by the best man ever!!!
