Where and how should I book my hotel?

Answer

Please book your stay at the Hotel Riu Guanacaste 5*, where our ceremony will take place. There are multiple Hotel Riu resorts across the globe, but it is crucial that you book with Riu Guanacaste 5* to ensure we can hold our ceremony there. How To Book: Visit our 'Travel' page and use the link under 'Hotel.' This will direct you to the official resort website. Select your desired dates, or you can contact our wedding coordinator for assistance. When booking your stay, please add in the 'special requests" our wedding reservation number (WEB3422), our date (12/13/2025) and name "Remick Powell wedding". Please note: If you book elsewhere, you will be charged an entry fee to attend the ceremony. This includes Airbnb's and the neighboring resort Hotel Riu Guanacaste Palace. We can't wait to see you there!

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Our dress code will be garden chic — think sun dresses, floral prints, light-colored suits or button-downs, and relaxed linen fabrics. Ladies, we recommend you consider your footwear carefully, as the ground may be soft or uneven.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outdoors in the resort gardens, so we recommend ladies consider their footwear carefully. After the ceremony, instead of a traditional reception with dancing and music, we will enjoy a private, intimate dinner at one of the resort's exclusive restaurants to celebrate!

When should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

While our ceremony starts at 2pm, please arrive at least 10 minutes before to allow time for seating and to ensure the ceremony begins on time. We wouldn’t want you to miss a single moment!

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we love children, we’ve decided to keep our ceremony and reception adult-only due to venue restrictions and additional fees. However, childcare will be available from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm for those who need it. Our only exceptions will be our flower girls. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the venue's restrictions and the costs associated with additional guests, we are unable to accommodate plus ones for all of our guests. If your invitation does not specifically mention a plus one, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate an additional guest. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope you’re still able to celebrate with us on our special day.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are so excited to have Tiarrah, our talented friend and photographer, capturing every moment of our special day. While we welcome guests who would like to take their own photos, we kindly ask that you allow Tiarrah the space she needs to capture all the moments without any interruptions. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us create a seamless experience!
