Wedding Party

Meet the people that helped shape us into who we are today. Although, they may not stand next to us during the ceremony, we still value their impact in our lives.

Joshua Siu

Best Man

I met Josh in college through our church fellowship group, and later lived together for 2 years. We bonded over our love of basketball, and shenanigans that we pulled while living together. He is truly one of my best friends that I can count on for anything. Whether it's hosting my birthday at his house, or asking him to pray for me when times are tough, he is always willing to lend a hand to help me through all the ups and downs in life. I admire the generosity and hospitality he shows towards others, and his relationship with his wife was an excellent model for me as I went through the process of dating. His strong faith in Christ has always pointed me back to what really matters in this life.

Rachelle Lintao

Matron of Honor

Ate Rachelle is my oldest sister (3/6 sibling). One word: selfless. She’s considerate and always willing to help others even though sometimes, it does not favor her situation. When I went back to the Philippines for nursing school, my sister’s family made my transition very easy because they made me feel welcome in their house. I felt less homesick. She became my second parent because my mom was in the USA at that time. I appreciate her godly wisdom in times of difficult situations. And even though she’s very busy in her academic responsibilities, she influenced me to work hard yet to prioritize family first. She reminds me to embrace the process of the season I am in and to honor God in everything. Fact: Anthony is my first and last boyfriend because of my sister’s living example.

Stanford Chun

Groomsman

I met Stanford through our college fellowship group, and later co-led bible study together for one year. We got along right away, because of our shared interest in food and just fooling around in general. He always brought out the more goofy side of me, because Stanford is just a kid at heart. Stanford has always been an excellent example to me of self-sacrificial love. He has always put others' needs above his own no matter how busy or tired he is. He also taught me how giving small gifts or performing acts of service can go a long way to show others you care for them. I realized how much his caring attitude rubbed off on me when I helped coordinate a communal grocery donation within our college fellowship to support one of our friends that was struggling financially.

Racquel Rabara

Bridesmaid

Ate Racquel is my 4/6 sibling. We both share the love of fashion and photography. I remember that whenever we go on a vacation, we’re the last ones standing in the location because we are very picky of how our pictures taken- it has to be perfect for the “gram.” But regardless of that, she inspired me to appreciate the beauty of God’s creations and to travel and enjoy life. One of my favorite memories with her is that whenever she has business trips to PI, I would force her to buy me Razon’s halo-halo and she'd willingly do so. She’s very generous and kind-hearted sister. Growing up, she would tell me to always know my rights and to stand on my ground. She reminds me to have a grateful heart and to seek God in every decisions.

Kevin Cheng

Groomsman

I met Kevin in high school when I first started going to his church. I later followed him to the same college and church fellowship, and we moved back to the Bay Area around the same time after graduation. When I first met him, he was boisterous, spontaneous, and sometimes shameless. 13 years later, none of that has changed. Kevin has always been someone who I could count on to tell me the truth, even when it was uncomfortable to say. I appreciate his loving criticisms that have made me more conscious of my actions and how they effect others. His critical thinking has also made me challenge my preconceived notions and helped me better refine my reasoning for living life the way I do. He is also an excellent story teller and there will never be a dull moment whenever he is around.

Raissa Rabara

Bridesmaid

Ate Iya, as I call her is my 5/6 sibling. I consider her as my beshienemy (bestie + enemy). It’s a love-hate relationship with her. We like to laugh and fool each other around. We tease each other a lot and sometimes ends up in a physical fight but we always reconcile after. She’s very selfless and willing to serve people without any complaints. Growing up, she’s very involved in my spiritual maturity and pushed me to attend a Christian church, even though it takes one hour to get there. She reminds me to be an example of a living God to other people and to always be generous and kind even though you don’t have that much to give. Fact: she was the first person to know about Anthony. Even though we're miles apart, she constantly reminds me to honor God in my relationship with Anthony.

Matthew Woo

Groomsman

I met Matt through our Christian college fellowship and we later became closer as we co-led bible study for a year. We didn't have one specific topic we bonded over, but I appreciated how we could talk about just about anything from anime, cults, faith, relationships, etc. I have always admired Matt's openness to listen to others, even those he may not agree with. He taught me the importance of truly listening to others before judging, and loving others regardless of their viewpoint on any issue. Matt is also very welcoming and kind. I remember he went out of his way to schedule meetups with new people at church, and make them feel like their presence matters. I'm glad he is moving back to the Bay Area, so we can catch up over our long talks.

Roxanne De Leon

Bridesmaid

Ate Roxy is my 6/6 sibling. She helped me transition to the American life when I first came to the States. I was culture shocked when I first came here. Although she was in PI then, she would give me advices on how to deal with certain "American" situations. And, she inspired me to become a Nurse (back when I did not know what to major in, and I just decided to copy my sister because she seems to be really cool and smarty haha) We both share the love for adventure, road trips and Zumba. My favorite memory with her is that she and her now husband used to take me with them in their dates and treat me with some nice food. Who doesn’t like free stuff? But above all, she is a kind and loving sister that’s willing to help you in times of need.
