Antonio is a member of Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music. Yearly, the choir participates in the annual Memorial Day Concert on the west lawn of the US Capital in Washington, DC. In 2017, Andrea was selected to participate in the concert with the choir. Andréa noticed Antonio during "Soundcheck." They would later participate together again during the Capital 4th Concert. Andréa, later, joined as an official member of Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music and toured with the choir. During this time they began what would be a great friendship. Antonio would later come to know and love the depth of musical knowledge Andréa possesses!!

Andréa and Antonio had been exchanging greetings and pleasantries via Facebook Messenger for a while now. May 17, 2019... Andréa decides to make a post on Facebook that she wanted someone to take her to see "John Wick 3" that just came out. Antonio thought it was quite hilarious that she would make such a post. Andréa slides in the DM to question why Antonio laughed at her post considering she was serious. Now, unbeknownst to Andréa, Antonio had been hoping for a chance to hang with her and he knew this was a perfect opportunity to make that happen. So without question, Antonio booked the tickets for them to see the movie in IMAX. They had an amazing time and Antonio noticed how engaged Andréa was in an action flick (huge plus in his book). Going to the movies started to become a regular thing for them when their busy schedules allowed. Most importantly, the post-movie conversations were always fun and exciting. Antonio and Andréa would stand in the movie garage or parking lot and converse for long periods of time. Through the rest of the summer of 2019, Antonio and Andréa continued to converse and get to know each other. Later that Fall, Antonio and Andréa had their first official date on November 8th, 2019 in the Georgetown area of Washington, DC. They enjoyed a nice dinner of sushi and wine. Andréa was a bit worried that the date had gone wrong considering Antonio asked for the check sooner than expected. Little did she know, Antonio had a surprise up his sleeve. The date continued and concluded with the viewing of a movie Andréa had expressed wanting to see. Who knew, movies could bring these two so close? Any relationship worth it’s weight must be tested and proven. There are moments where couples face various challenges and must come together to work through those issues. It’s during these moments where Andréa and Antonio have been able to fortify their relationship. It’s during these moments where they’ve learned the beauty in unselfish honest communication and the communication style of each other. It’s during these moments where they’ve learned how to breathe and exercise emotional intelligence and extend Grace to each other. It’s during these moments where love and reconciliation become a beautiful dance. Then there are moments where they’ve learned to revel in the beauty of what they’ve created. They’ve learned how to Laugh. They’ve developed their own language with each other. They’ve learned the beauty of the journey and have come to love the journey even more. They’ve learned the beauty of worship and prayer and spiritual development coupled with doing their personal work. Andréa and Antonio are not in a race, but it’s a daily Grace walk for them and they’ve chose to walk out life hand-in-hand. These experiences have matured them individually and together as a couple.

After a while of journeying in a beautiful courtship, Antonio knew that he wanted to make Andréa his wife. Antonio knew that nothing should be entered into without prayer and wise council. After much prayer, conversations with his Pastors, and many long talks with his close friends and accountability partners, Antonio made a decision that would change the course of both of their lives. Antonio spent a lot of hours looking at rings and venues. After a while he found the right ring and the perfect location!! On Saturday, October 16th, 2021- Andréa got ready for an amazing evening to celebrate her birthday (not knowing what was ahead). Antonio picked her up (intentionally late)… and they made headway toward the proposal venue. Antonio typically drives fast, but Andréa thought it strange Antonio was taking his sweet time getting to wherever they were going. Nonetheless, they arrived at the Gaylord Resort at the National Harbor in MD. Antonio takes the long way to park and slow walks to getting to the place where it all would go down. Typically, Andréa is “Ms. Photogenic” and loves every moment to snap a photo; however, on this occasion, Not So Much!! She was really hungry and was over taking all of these pictures!!! Nonetheless, Antonio took advantage of the opportunity to take photos with Andrea under this beautiful gazebo with the Potomac River in the backdrop. After taking pictures, Antonio runs to the restroom to get the ring in place, greets the secret photographer/videographer and gives him the green light to get in position. He comes back out and made history. Through tears of love and transparency, Antonio bore his soul to Andréa and confessed his desire of a life of love for her. Antonio got down on one knee and asked…. Andréa said YES!!!!
