FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please kindly confirm your attendance by March 31, 2023. If, however, you know prior that our date conflicts with your schedule or you will be unable to attend for other reasons, please feel free to let us know. We may be able to include other loved ones but still keep it small and intimate. Thank you!

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

While we would love to have everyone there, we understand that some won't be able to make the trip. We will make other plans to celebrate locally with those family and friends. We thank you for your love and support and appreciate your well wishes from afar!

Question

Will there be a Zoom link or livestream?

Answer

No. But we look forward to getting together and sharing our pictures and video perhaps after we get back.

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Mexico?

Answer

Yes, guests must have a valid passport to enter the country. Go to travel.state.gov for more information.

Question

Where is the resort?

Answer

Dreams Jade Resort & Spa is located in Puerto Morelos-part of the Mexican Riviera Maya on the Yucatan Peninsula (Caribbean side of Mexico). Riviera Maya is situated about 35-45 minutes south of Cancún and a little over 2 hours north of Cozumel by drive and ferry.

Question

How far is it from the airport?

Answer

The Cancún International Airport is about 12 miles away from the resort, approximately a 25-minute drive.

Question

Does the hotel have a shuttle to/from the airport?

Answer

No. However, ground transfers can be pre-arranged through our travel agent, Adam, along with booking your room. For those booking on their own, ground transportation may also be reserved independently via private/semi-private shuttle service or taxi.

Question

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Answer

Yes! Dreams Resorts offer Unlimited Luxury which means all meals, snacks, and drinks (including alcoholic beverages) are included. There are six a-la-carte restaurants, a buffet and a cafe, well as en suite dining options. The included Sip, Savor, and See program also allows guests to dine at nearby sister resorts. A variety of sports and activities like mini-golf, batting cages, and tennis, as well as non-motorized water sports including kayaks and catamarans are included. Visit their website for more details.

Question

Is the wedding outside? Is it in the sand?

Answer

Yes, the wedding and reception will be outdoors. The ceremony will be on a deck and the reception will be on a terrace nearby, both overlooking the water. However, neither will be in the sand.

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

An indoor location is available in case of inclement weather.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

After five cocktail/evening attire is fine. It's not a formal, black tie event, so no need to pack a tux or ballgown (but if you're team overdressed/"more is more" who are we to judge?), but whatever you consider wedding appropriate works for us.

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

May is usually the driest month of the year in Riviera Maya. The average high of the day in May is in the low to mid-80s and the evening temperature is typically in the 70s.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The resort is family-friendly with kids club and babysitting options available. The wedding and reception, however, are for the adults only. Please visit the hotel website for more information about child care and kid-friendly activities at the hotel.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

In an effort to keep things small and intimate, we have limited our wedding guest list to close family and friends by invitation only. However, you are welcome, of course, to travel with whomever you choose! After we confirm whether our loved ones are able to attend, we can let you know if we are able to accommodate additional guests (ie. travel companions). Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are there any other wedding events planned?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is on Sunday, May 14th, with dinner reception and dancing to follow. There will be a welcome cocktail hour for our guests on Friday evening, May 12th. A group excursion may be arranged to one of the local adventure parks for those who are interested. (Please check the Events tab for updates and more details). Otherwise, enjoy YOUR trip!

Question

How do I book?

Answer

Please contact our travel coordinator, Adam Rubin, at 301.474.1300 or adam@greenbelttravel.com and mention Richardson/Cofield Wedding to reserve one of the blocked rooms at a discounted rate. Other offers including, but not limited to, airport transfers, private check-in, and discount on spa services are included with negotiated rates.

Question

What if I find a better deal elsewhere?

Answer

Guests are welcome to book accommodations and/or bundle airfare and hotel on their own as well via third-party websites such as Expedia.com and CheapCaribbean.com, or book by using travel rewards, points, and/or miles. Negotiated rates often tend to be cheaper, so please check with our travel coordinator first to ensure you receive the best possible rate. Either way, do what works best for you!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We already have everything we need, so we do not have a registry. Our gift is in your presence! For those who are unable to make it and specifically inquired about sending a gift we've included a few of our favorite stores under the registry tab. Thank you in advance for your generosity and love!

Question

Did we forget something?

Answer

If you have any other questions that weren't answered here, please text Lester to inquire. Thanks!
