We were both on a few dating sites, searching through "Local Singles In Our Area!" and empty promises. After all the left swipes and let downs, I get a message. When I didn't reply, I got another message from the same guy the very next day. This sweet soul thought he had offended me by messaging me at 2 AM and apologized for how that must have looked. I was so surprised a guy was worried he offended me by messaging me late at night, I just had this feeling that he was different. I messaged back and the rest is history! The Proposal: After a few years of living in a cramped townhouse, we finally decide to buy a house. We agreed on everything we were looking for, a good sign! A big kitchen so I can host all of our future holiday dinners, a fenced in yard so our fur baby, Cooper, can run, and a big tub! One that poor Jeromy can fit in without looking like a frog in a matchbox. I finally find it, we're in love. We toured it and knew that would be the house we wanted to begin our lives in. It was the only house we toured. We closed on our first home June 1, 2018. Fast forward to July 26, 2018. I am just getting off work, we are having friends over that night. I was (naturally) running late for work earlier that morning so I was wearing a tshirt and my hair was put up. I get home and a couple of our friends are there already, dressed casual. Cool. I'll blend. We are still waiting on a few more friends, and Jeromy says, "They're almost here! I have clothes picked out for you to wear." Puzzled, I follow him to a spare bedroom where he did indeed have an outfit, a top I know is his favorite, my new favorite jeans, and my infamous Birks. Our friends are finally there and Jeromy says he has a surprise for me but needs to give it to me outside. I meet him in the front yard, and he hands me a bag. Inside was a painting of him proposing in front of our new home! My bubble was blank awaiting my answer and our outfits matched our drawings' outfits. He got down and I said YES!
