It’s no surprise that school can wear you out, so as a treat to ourselves, we planned a weekend getaway to Waco, TX with two of our dear friends. We visited the Magnolia Silos, ate some great food, and made lots of special memories that will last a lifetime. On Sunday, the last day of our visit, we had talked about going hiking in Cameron Park. That morning, we all loaded up the two pups, Diesel and Axle, and arrived at the park where we would embark on a new adventure! We hiked most of the day, and we were nearing exhaustion. However, there was still one noteworthy place to visit that we’d read had the best views of the river down below. We made a vertical climb to get to this point and got lost a time or two, but we finally made it to the top. We were letting the pups rest in the shade while we checked out the beautiful scenery. Thats when Brandon tapped on my shoulder. I unsuspectingly turned around, and he was down on his knee. Now, if you know Brandon at all, he is such a prankster, so I, of course, had to ask if he was serious like 10 times.
