Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our guests in cocktail attire. Whatever you decide to wear, make sure your shoes are made for dancing!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.

Question

What is the COVID-19 protocol for the wedding?

Answer

Per the City of Decatur, both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests are required to wear a mask indoors. We will have masks and hand sanitizer available for all guests in case you left yours behind. Please stop at our sanitizing station for a temperature check and to sanitize your hands before entering the building (this will be required). We encourage all guests to sanitize their hands often throughout the night.

Question

What happens after the ceremony? Will I need to travel to another venue for the reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both take place at the Historic Dekalb Courthouse. After the ceremony, the bridal party will take pictures nearby for an hour. Guests can head to the lobby of the venue for appetizers and cocktails as they wait for the reception to begin.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive a half hour before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is on time. We want to get the party started as scheduled! The ceremony will begin at 6 o'clock PM sharp! (per the bride 😉)

Question

Where should the guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

All guest parking is public parking. There are 300 metered spaces that are free after 6pm, and 2,200 deck/lot spaces. Below is a list of convenient public parking decks. For those of you who will be guests at the nearby Courtyard by Marriott or Hampton Inn, the venue is within walking distance. Parking at the Courtyard by Marriott is $10 per day for guests. Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your love and company on our wedding day is the only present we require! On our road to husband and wife, we've been blessed to have accumulated the things that make our house a home. If you do wish to honor us with a gift, however, a contribution towards our wishing well would be much appreciated.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes, we do! There are blocks reserved at both Courtyard by Marriott properties detailed in the "Travel and Accommodations" section of the website. Take a look to find more information on this, other nearby hotels and helpful travel information.
