We met at Amelia High School in classroom 264. David was studying to get his masters degree in special education with one of my close co-workers (Lori). On the day we met we sat beside each other during our scheduled lunch time. Lori says to this day that she instantly saw the spark and didn't know how to stop it. Soon David started skipping football workouts (a HUGE DEAL, I now know) to join our Friday happy hours. On one particular Friday we stood in the parking lot chatting an hour after everyone left. Then David FINALLY asked if I had any plans for the evening. We ended up at the casino a couple hours later on our first real date. Over the next few months, we stayed up way too late talking to each other, we studied together, watched countless movies, hours (upon hours) of football and UK basketball, and ultimately fell in love. After I saw David with my family, I knew we had something special. Let's be honest, It's not easy to get two parents to like you--let alone four. My family adores David and I couldn't ask for anything more. On our one year anniversary David handed me a box with Disney World tickets inside. He had planned a huge Disney vacation for us to enjoy the following summer. Little did I know he had big plans for this trip. He ended up popping the question on our first day at Magic Kingdom right in front of Cinderella's castle--literally a day fit for a princess. We cannot wait to celebrate and share our wedding day with you!
