We are excited to celebrate our marriage once again, but this time with all of our family and friends! Everything is going ahead as planned. Please reach out to one of us if you have any questions regarding covid safety or anything else!
Andy and Nicki met through a mutual friend, who was a co-worker of Nicki's and a volleyball teammate of Andy's. Fun fact, two years prior to meeting, she had tried to set them up, but Nicki refused to go on a blind date. Fast forward two years and Nicki went to go meet her friend at a bar "in the middle of nowhere" on a cold, wet, Sunday afternoon to play volleyball. It was there that Nicki and Andy officially met and both became interested in each other. The next week Nicki told her friends she was going to go "watch Hollie play volleyball" aka see Andy again. After a few weeks of talking they had their first date at Potter's downtown Naperville and the rest is history!
Nicki and Andy had planned a trip to Pittsburgh for a long weekend to visit Andy's sister. A few days before they were supposed to leave she contacted them saying that "her boyfriend was sick" and they had to cancel. Nicki was bummed, but Andy had other things planned. Saturday, November 9th Andy asked Nicki if she wanted to go out to lunch in downtown Naperville. After lunch they were walking on the river walk when he stopped her to propose. After she said yes they walked to get drinks at Red Arrow, where he had many of their friends and family waiting to surprise and congratulate them on their engagement. It was the perfect day!
