In March 2016, Rachel and I met at the house of a mutual friend while I was visiting town. We didn't talk much that night, but caught each other's attention just enough that I made sure to get some contact information. Even though I sat on that information for 3 days before being brave enough to send her a message, we quickly became close and went on our first date about a month later. After about 8 hours of hanging out, we finally decided to talk feelings while sitting on a park carousel around 1:30 in the morning. After doing long distance for 1.5 years, we finally found ourselves back together in Bloomington around the beginning of 2018. With the help of Rachel's best friend Lindsey, I asked Rachel to marry me at Matthiessen State Park in November. And here we are.
