I first laid eyes on my future husband while attending one of the shows at Grand Country in Branson, MO. I was going to school at Missouri State in Springfield and I had recently taken a job at Dolly Parton's Stampede and needed some paperwork from my parents house for orientation. Of course I didn't take important documents to college with me so I called home begging someone to bring me my social security card. My sweet Grandma Judy drove two and a half hours to bring the documents to me. She decided to make her drive worth wild and wanted to go see a show and have dinner. My roommate Lauren and I decided to join her and traveled to Branson with her for the night. While at the show, I couldn't stop looking at the cute drummer. I knew who he was because of mutual friends but had never really met him. After the show, my roommate and I decided we wanted to talk to the drummer and say hi but he never came out to say hi (he was sick that night) so we got in the car and drove back to Springfield. On our way back, I got a Facebook message from the cute drummer. He said he saw a girl at his show that looked like me and wasn't for sure if it was me or not. Sure enough, it was. We talked the rest of the night about mutual friends and how we had never met, we talked about similar interests, likes and dislikes, and we talked well into the next morning. We decided that we wanted to meet up in person so we planned for Rob to come to Springfield so we could meet. I had told Rob that I was a great driver (super lie) and would love to go on a drive with him sometime so I could show him that I was a better driver than he was. He didn't believe me and promised he was the best driver. He came to Springfield a few days later and we drove around Springfield until 5 AM talking and laughing. Since that day, we've been inseparable and while I get us from point A to point B, he's definitely the better driver.
2020 for many was a difficult year. While we agree to some extent, 2020 was one of the happiest years of our lives. We started the year with a bang as Rob *finally* got down on one knee and proposed. What Logan thought was their annual Disney World trip with her boyfriend ended up being an exciting proposal trip with their best friends and family. The day of the proposal, Rob and Logan ventured to Magic Kingdom. Breakfast reservations at their favorite restaurant, a new pair of Minnie Mouse ears, and Rob's first venture on "It's a Small World" made this day all the more perfect. The couple had decided to plan dinner early so that they could find the perfect seat for the "Happily Ever After" firework show that night. This was Logan's absolute #1 thing to see while they were there, so it was important to get the best seat. While at dinner, Rob told Logan that they weren't watching the fireworks at the park, but instead he had a surprise for her and explained that they were going to watch the fireworks somewhere else. They finished dinner, left the Magic Kingdom, and headed to the Contemporary Resort where their parents and close friends were waiting for them. This was a HUGE surprise to Logan as she had no idea that anyone was there, while Rob had planned for them to be there all along. The crew loaded up on a pontoon and headed out to the Seven Seas Lagoon to get the perfect spot for the fireworks. Once the show started, Rob asked the question, perfectly timing Logan's answer to the fireworks so once she said yes, fireworks lit up the night sky. It was a moment that the couple will remember and cherish forever.
