The Farmers' Market is one of our favorite Saturday morning traditions. We personally recommend some Stella's Spicy Cheesy Bread, "Magic Coffee" from the Graze coffee stand, and a "healthy" scone from Chris & Lori's Bakehouse.
A drink on the terrace - day or night - is a MUST for any Madison visit. Go for the sun, stay for the sunset, and enjoy a few pitchers of Spotted Cow while you waste away the day by the water. For the adventurous, you can rent kayaks, sailboats, and paddle boards through the Hoofers club right next door.
We love Graze - the food is all local and fresh and ABSOLUTELY delicious. While many debate who makes the best cheese curds in Madison, we think that Graze clearly holds the crown. The cocktails aren't half bad either, but we usually don't remember too well how they tasted.
The most Wisconsin way to see the city - drinking & driving. Anyone who lives here is familiar with the notorious Trolley Pub riders who have a reputation for doing a bit more drinking than driving - but they definitely know how to have a good time. Take one of their pre-determined routes or create your own!
