Becoming Bezares

Angel and Jessica first met in 2010, in both of their most desired forms - Jessica in a beautiful prom dress on her way to Junior High School prom and Angel in a mechanics uniform underneath a car. Jessica was accompanied with a few of her high school friends (including a few Bridesmaids) and Angel was hanging out with some of his friends (including a few Groomsmen). Angel, being the truant (although extremely intelligent), mentioned something about school and prom being “stupid”, and stated “what’s next - College?”. Jessica, being defensive and witty, responded “Yes, college - At least I’m not going to work at Jiffy Lube for the rest of my life.” All friends gasped in astonishment and all began to laugh hysterically. Throughout the next 10 years, Angel and Jessica saw each other periodically through friends due to gatherings/parties. Angel’s friends always knew that since the day in 2010, Angel had a crush on Jessica. Jessica was unaware and followed her path to college, moved out of Florida, and continued on. In 2020, Jessica moved back to Florida and it wasn’t until 2021 (11 years later), that Angel finally admitted to Jessica that he had a crush on her and asked her out on a date. Jessica was not ready to date and kindly declined. However, Jessica and Angel remained friends and continued to check-in on each other. In January 2022, Jessica finally reached out to Angel and asked if he was still interested in going on “that” date. Ever since then, they’ve been inseparable. They truly enjoy each other’s company, respect one another, and most importantly, love unconditionally!! Who knew that over 10 years ago, they would be together forever? They certainly didn’t, but couldn’t be happier that they are.
