Back in 2010, I just started getting my feet wet in the "car meet" world and the guy I was seeing at the time took me to a MN Mazda gathering at Porky's where I met Jon. There were a lot of people I would see on a weekly basis, including Jon and I would learn so much about Mazda cars and rotary engines (Jon had a loud one lol). Jon worked at Porsche, so I was really impressed and excited by all the cars he would bring around if it wasn't his RX-7. We stayed in contact over social media and would occasionally bump into each other at car meets but I never thought anything more of it since we were both in relationships with other people. Plus, he was pretty quirky and nerdy meanwhile I was the party-girl that cared way too much about what other people thought. Couple years later, we found ourselves around the same group of friends and I noticed we were both single too. I joked to my friend how it was too bad that I didn't like nice guys, cause Jon was super nice and he was great boyfriend (and husband) material. She finally convinced me to open up to him and to go on a date, which we did. He even picked me up in a Porsche Panamera :) the rest is history. Nice guys don't always finish last and I am forever grateful I gave this one a chance!
