If you are interested in indulging in some Midwestern nature, we recommend Busse Woods for a stroll, a run, or a bike ride. You can also rent kayaks and kayak on Busse Lake. Additionally, there is an elk pasture where you can view elk grazing. It is very common to see some other forest critters. If you would like more information, please don't hesitate to reach out to Weronika or Daniel.
If you would like to do some shopping or looking for options of where to go eat, the Woodfield Mall area has a lot of restaurants, pubs, bars, and shopping.
If you are from out of town, heading into the City of Chicago for sight-seeing is a fun day trip. If you are staying in the area where the wedding events take place, we recommend taking the Metra train into the city. Please visit https://ridertools.metrarail.com/maps-schedules/train-lines/MD-W for train times. The train station closest to the wedding events is ITASCA. Once you get into the city by train, you will be in the Loop. From there, you can either walk, publicly transport, or Uber to Michigan Avenue where you can see the Bean, Millenium Park, walk down the Magnificent Mile, walk along the riverfront, and more. You could also access the Lakefront Trail for a stroll. Please contact Weronika or Daniel for more recommendations.
