On January 18, 2016, Jenny and Kris returned for their last semester of their senior year at Montclair State University. Jenny and Kris lived in Williams Hall, Jenny lived on the second floor and Kris lived on the fourth. Despite living in the same building and having several mutual friends, Jenny and Kris had never seen each other through their 4 years at MSU! Neither Jenny or Kris had plans to return to school that night but Kris' roommate Nic (groomsmen) and Jenny's roommate Alex (Bridesmaid) had convinced them to come up a night early and keep them company. Around 12:30 am, Kris and Nic were hungry and decided to walk down to McDonald's. A short while later, Jenny was walking into the stairwell of her building and noticed a cell phone laying on the floor of the stairwell. Jenny decided to hold onto the cell phone, charge it and wait for the owner to inevitably call. Being the hopeless romantic that she is, Jenny thought to herself, "maybe this is my future husband's phone" Well... Jenny was wrong, It was not her future husband's phone but it was his roommate's phone! About an hour later, the phone rang and Jenny saw that it was "Kris B" calling. She answered the phone and told the guys where her apartment was. The minute Jenny answered the door she was immediately attracted to Kris. He had the most charming smile and was so funny. Kris also thought Jenny was very attractive as well. The guys and Jenny talked for about 15 minutes when Jenny and Nic realized that they were in many of the same classes together, as history majors. The guys left and Jenny went to bed with a strange but amazing feeling that she may have just met someone special. The next day, Jenny found Kris' Facebook and sent him a friend request. The morning after that, Kris sent Jenny a message that read, "Oh look who it is. The girl who goes around stealing phones at 1:00 in the morning" She replied, "More like rescuing phones" And the rest as they say....is history!

Kris and Jenny met on Monday January 18th and spent the entire week going back and forth through Facebook and Text messages. On January 24, 2016, there was a huge snowstorm which locked down the entire campus of Montclair. It was also the night of Jenny's roommate Gabriella's 21st birthday. Coincidentally, it was also Kris' 22nd birthday that same night! The girls tried to leave campus to celebrate but unfortunately couldn't even make it out of the parking garage. So instead, they decided to throw a huge party. Jenny decided to invite "the guy she just met" and his roommate. When Kris and Nic arrived, Jenny was so nervous and had already changed her outfit three times. They decided to play a tournament of beer pong and Jenny decided to play hard to get by choosing to be partners with one of her other guy friend's and Kris partnered up with one of Jenny's other roommates. Jenny realized that her plan to play hard to get was about to back fire as Kris was talking to all of her roommates instead of her. At this point, Kris assumed that Jenny wasn't interested in him and was about to leave the party. Jenny knew she needed to make a move quickly, so she walked up to Kris and said, "So are you going to talk to me at all, or are you just going to talk to my room mates all night?" Kris looked at her and said with such confidence, "I came here for you!" at that moment, Jenny pulled in Kris by his shirt and kissed him.
