Trout Haven’s outdoor ice rink is open December through April (weather permitting) from 10am to 6pm, Friday through Sunday from 10am to 8pm. They rent skates and skate time for $5. If you have your own skates its only $3 to skate. Take a break in their warming house to thaw out your toes and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot cocoa.
Those familiar with Stephen King's, 'The Shining', or thrill seekers looking for a spook, visit The Stanley Hotel. There is a restaurant on site, a maze (weather permitting), and information about the movie and 'hauntings' throughout the hotel.
You can enjoy snow shoeing (rentals from local suppliers), hiking, all things Colorado!
For indoor options, Rocky Mountain Gateway has a restaurant, souvenir shop, coffee shop, and kid's play ground.
A former ski hill located off Trail Ridge Road just below and west of Many Parks Curve, it's the only place within Rocky Mountain National Park where sledding is allowed.
