We first met at an accounting internship through Slippery Rock University. We developed a good friendship during our many hours at the internship. This friendship continued and after Megan's graduation in May 2015 Brian with the help of their old supervisor, reached out to see if there were any jobs available at her work. In September 2015, Brian began working with Megan at the Department of Revenue. Over the next year Brian and Megan's friendship continued to grow, and in the first week of September 2016 Megan and Brian went on their first date. They made their relationship official on September 4, 2016.
Megan and Brian had discussed getting married for several months before the proposal. He even asked Megan to begin designing engagement rings for him to get ideas. In typical Brian fashion the moment the engagement ring arrived, it began burning a hole in his pocket, or in his case his sock drawer. Brian began dropping hints to Megan that they needed to go for a walk with the pups at their favorite park. However, Megan thinking rationally thought a walk in the middle of the winter in Pittsburgh wasn't the smartest plan. Of course she didn't realize what Brian was planning, so he had to think of another plan... a plan that Megan wouldn't see coming. On a typical day after getting home from work, Megan was upstairs getting changed out of her work clothes and Brian was making a plan. He called to Megan asking her to come downstairs and go through the mail to make sure they didn't miss any important bills. Megan came downstairs and began sorting through the mail, but she soon realized that she had gone through all of this mail the previous day. She spun around to make fun of him for asking to sort through the mail again and there was Brian down on one knee. Dropping the mail in her hands Megan immediately said yes! Later after laughing and crying from excitement Brian admitted he almost presented the ring box to Megan upside down.
