Becoming a Nave

Cory and I met through a mutual group of friends shortly before 2018. As a group we all hung out at car meets or hanging out in parking garages. A little before August of 2018, I was at a QuikTrip on Memorial with Cory and another friend. I had our friend try to get Cory's Snapchat for me. We talked a bit, but it wasn't until August 12th, 2018, at a friend's apartment, that things really kicked off. One of our friends took Cory's phone and pretended to be him, texting me and sparking the beginning of our story. From that moment on, we spent nearly every weekend together. A few months later, someone asked if we were dating, so I asked Cory. His response? "I thought we already were." That's Cory for you – no cheesy stuff! We've had our share of ups and downs, but after two years, we got our own house and our beautiful dog, Layla. Many of you know I've been waiting six years for Cory to propose! He finally did it on November 27th in the most perfect way. My parents, siblings, and nieces were all there to witness the special moment. We're so excited to share this celebration with you all as we get ready to say "I do!"
