How We Met

First comes school, then comes marriage

Max and Sherice met at Lincoln Theatre in NYC on 5/11/11 but attended different high schools. Several high schools were there to see a play called "War Horse." During intermission everyone hanged out in the lobby and on the balcony waiting to return. As Sherice leaned over the balcony, with great amazement, she made eye contact with Max. Max with astonishment, beckoned Sherice to come down by signaling her with his finger. Within seconds, Danisha who was standing next to Max said “Sherice Come!” Sherice decided to come down since she did not want to grant Max the satisfaction of coming down through his "finger signal." She was nervous and told a friend "there's a really cute guy downstairs and I don't want to fall!." While Sherice walked down, the closer she got to Max, the more butterflies in her stomach. She could feel his eyes piercing her, capturing every movement. Max gazed in silence and smiled while experiencing eagerness. She arrived! They two looked at one another with eager anticipation. Both were experiencing a surge of emotions. Danisha introduced them, they shook hands since Max desired to display gentlemanly decorum. Amid introductions, Sherice remembered her name on Facebook was different. You see, at that time Sherice's name on facebook was Melissa, so she rushed home to change it. When Max found her they had no idea that they would share intimate stories throughout the night, forming what would turn into an unbreakable bond. A year later, Sherice was transitioning to go away to college while Max remained home working. They had no idea the difficulties that would transpire after spending everyday together. Before leaving, she asked Max “Can you wait for me to return or want to call it quits?” He replied "We will figure it out and see it to the end." "Who God has joined together, let no man put asunder!" Before your eyes these two are announcing their wedding where people will witness the forging of a covenant, the shaping of two becoming one!
