Stop by the Stagecoach Sweet Stop and enjoy their rich and creamy ice cream. They also offer a wide assortment of candy, chocolate and homemade treats! Kyle and I take our candy and ice cream eating very seriously, so this is a place we can't wait to check out!
A great outing for families and kids! The Nature Center includes: an Animal Trail exhibiting more than a dozen animals from bobcats to otters that have been rescued or rehabilitated and cannot be released into the wild; A 19th century-style farm exhibit with goats, pigs, cows, a mule, donkey and chickens; The "Wonder Room" section of the Visitor's Center contains live reptiles native to Georgia; Home of the Official Georgia Groundhog; 17 miles of mountain bike and hiking trails; 10 miles of horse trails and the Woodland Garden Trail. So fun!
The Indian Spring Hotel was built in 1823 as an Inn by Chief William McIntosh and his cousin, Joel Bailey. The hotel is unique and extremely significant to the history of the State of Georgia. It is the only known ante-bellum mineral springs hotel in Georgia still standing. It's history yields much data on the culture, society, and architecture of Georgia throughout the 19th century. Group-friendly and family-friendly! Self-guided tours and maps/brochures available. All ages are welcome!
Meander thru the gardens to discover unique antiques, fountains, garden decor, and one-of-a-kind statues. A wonderful waterfall cascading into 3 separate pools completes this one-of-a-kind experience. The Chapel contains the original kerosene light fixture, colored glass windows, and a brass bell placed when it was built. The bell in the tower has been tolled practically every Sunday since it was hung. The benches are much older than the church. The church is available for tours by appointment.
