We matched on Facebook Dating because of a mutual friend and everything begins there! Jarret met the entire Nelson family on the first date and was a good caretaker when I (Mary Therese) was still off my feet recovering from a surgery. He truly swept me off my feet! After the first date lasted about 8 to 9 hours, we knew in our hearts, we'd finally found our other half. A few dates later and Jarret finally asked me to be his girlfriend. The rest is history! We thank God everyday for our meeting!

When I arrived at the Nelson house to meet Mary Therese for the first time, I was extremely nervous because I wanted our first date to be perfect. (Off to a great start by sitting social distance away on the other side of the couch) The first thing we watched together was Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities and I asked a very important question... I asked her, "So... How many rats can you choke out before you get got?" Nailed it! Even with that strange question, her laugh and funny response of, "About four at that size," told me that we were a perfect match and she was the one. As the night went on, we watched some movies and played some fun games. Who knew we'd be so good at a co-op game first date? Even though our date lasted about 9 hours, it still felt like it ended way too soon. I could've stayed all night and spent it with her. The light at the end of the tunnel was by the end of our first date, we already had a second in line. Guess I really did sweep her off her feet because here we are, about to get married. I couldn't be more excited!

Jarret took me to my first medieval faire at Great Lakes Medieval Faire in Ohio. I was so excited to run around, look at armor, hold swords, meet a mermaid, and explore the grounds! He was very excited to take me to a comedy show, "The Washing Wenches", and I was excited to go for the ride with him and his friends. (We love you Jamie, Eric, Mike, and Chrissy!) One moment I'm in the crowd watching Jarret run around on a hot sunny day in full armor for the show, the next I'm being pulled up on stage to pass a flower to Jarret with my teeth! There's excitement and lots of people around. Then I spot my parents in the crowd and have a feeling something is up... That's when I turn and see my real life Knight in Shining Armor down on one knee, asking me to be his wife! What an amazing proposal!
