Amazement Square

The museum offers four floors of hands-on, interactive exhibits designed to make learning fun. At Amazement Square, we believe that creative play is one of the most important ways children learn and grow! Guests of all ages can paint on the walls of our paint box, explore life on the farm, create a rainstorm over downtown Lynchburg, float a boat down the James River, and even rock out on stage in a band of your own! Right in the center of the historic building is the Amazement Tower, this indoor play structure extends through all four floors of the museum offering an endless maze of slides, ladders, tunnels, and a zip-line!

Depot Grille

Lynchburg's historic riverfront is the perfect location for The Depot Grille. The large open dining area flooded with natural light is the ideal environment for a casual business lunch. The regular passing of trains just outside provides a wonderful treat for the kids. "he Colonial Restaurant is located in Rustburg, Virginia. The original restaurant was founded in 1957 and was established as a local favorite for southern cuisine. The restaurant was purchased by new management in 2012 and recently underwent a complete renovation. The restaurant features rustic decor with a western theme. The interior includes seven TVs, a fireplace and original oil paintings from out West. The Colonial has a full bar serving craft and domestic beer, wine and cocktails."
