While out for a girls night, Michelle was introduced to Brett through a mutual friend. Later that night, Michelle was telling a story to her friend (her hands talk as much as she does) and in typical fashion, she hit a drink behind her. She immediately turned around and saw that she had drenched this mans shirt. Not even looking up to see who it was, she starts grabbing napkins and wiping his shirt. Super embarrassed, she looks up to apologize and realizes it’s the guy she met earlier… laughing at her… a lot. He smiled, she smiled and the rest is history.

New Smyrna Beach, Florida is a very special place for Michelle and her family. Her mom grew up vacationing there every year as a kid. Eventually, when the next generation continued the tradition, Michelle’s parents decided to get a place of their own. Ready to make memories with their own kids, Brett and Michelle loaded up and took a trip with Laura, Michelle’s Mom, in August of 2019. The 2nd day called for rain so they were going to stay in… but Brett knew Michelle loved the smell of the beach right before the rain. So he rushed her out the door and they picked out seashells along the shoreline. The very last seashell turned out to be a beautiful diamond ring. Michelle said, “Brett made sure he asked me the perfect question, in the perfect place, at the perfect time. I couldn’t have planned it better myself”.
