Question

Should I book my flights now or wait?

Answer

Due to COVID-19, we understand that many of you are hesitant to book your travel. Not all airlines have booking ability for May 2021 just yet. In the event you can and want to book your flight now, we recommend adding on "Cancel for any Reason" travel insurance. Many economy airlines that travel to Cancun do not provides refunds on cancellations, and can charge absurd rates to change your flight. "Cancel for any Reason" travel insurance will give you your money back should you have to cancel for any reason, but it also protects you if anything happens to you while travelling. You can purchase this type of insurance up to 14 days after booking your flights and the cost is usually around 10% of the trip total.

Question

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

Cancun International Airport Tulum is approximately 80 miles away. You can book shuttle services at the time of booking your stay with Paradise Found Travel.

Question

What's the deal with COVID-19?

Answer

As of now, it is still considered safe to travel to the Quintana Roo area, where Cancun and Tulum are located. Currently, Mexico is not requiring negative COVID-19 test results to gain entry into the country. We plan to move forward with our wedding as scheduled and planned unless the spread of COVID -19 worsens and/or borders shut. Because we cannot be certain of the state of the world months from now, we HIGHLY encourage you to spend a little extra on travel insurance for peace of mind and the ability to be fully refunded in the event we need to cancel the wedding.

Question

What is the difference between "Cancel for any Reason" insurance and regular travel insurane?

Answer

The name says it all! Standard issue travel insurance does not cover trip cancellations for things like a pandemic (hello COVID-19) or concern over contracting the virus. Standard travel insurance usually only covers cancellations in the event of a medical emergency or death. Cancel for any Reason insurance allows you to cancel and receive a refund. Period - no questions asked. This is typically an add on to standard travel insurance plans.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Beach Formal Dress to impress! Examples for Women: sundresses, maxi dresses, flowy cocktail dresses, wedges, espadrilles, flats; keep it light, colorful and fun! Examples for Men: linen suits, collared shirts, no denim, boat shoes or dress shoes; jacket and tie preferred - not required Keep in mind that the wedding will take place outdoors. It is fairly hot in Mexico in mid May (expect temperatures in the mid 80s, with mild humidity). Expect uneven terrain and consider this when making a footwear choice!

Question

Can I bring my family/children?

Answer

It was important to us to select a family-friendly resort because we are asking all of you to join us on a vacation for our wedding. Dreams Tulum has lots of kid friendly activities and even babysitting services. Although we love your little ones, we kindly request that our wedding ceremony and reception remain adults only.

Question

Will there be time to do anything aside from the wedding?

Answer

Of course! Remember, first and foremost this is YOUR vacation! Depending on the length of your stay, you will have plenty of time to enjoy yourself. While the times and details have yet to be set, there will be an optional welcome party, rehearsal dinner for our bridal party and an optional post-wedding hangover pool party.

Question

What is there to do at the resort?

Answer

The resort has tons for us to do! There are water activities like kayaking and snorkeling, golf, beach volleyball, dance lessons, a water park and world class spa. Outside of the resort, you can visit the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum, visit the infamous cenotes of the Riviera, take a day trip for shopping and dining in Playa del Carmen and so much more.
