Downtown New Bern is a wonderful place to stroll and shop. There are a few breweries and great restaurants. Saturday morning there is a Farmers Market. The historical Tryon Palace is downtown as well and they offer tours and a gift shop. If the weather is nice come play a round of golf at the wedding venue, The Emerald Golf Club. It is open to the public.
