UPDATE! 10/12/21

Reception Canceled Due to…

Hello dearest friends and loved ones! Checking back in here now, as life has changed again and this time it’s due to the happiest addition! As many already know, we were blessed with the birth of our daughter, Elliott Rae Blanks, on 8/21/21! Elliott is the light of our lives and we are just thrilled to be her parents. Due to this happy adventure, we’ve made the decision to cancel our postponed reception that was set for 11/20/21. Of course so much thought went into this, and we’re sad we aren’t continuing the party as we has initially wanted to. We also apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to any travel plans. We hope to be able to see friends and family in the coming year and have you meet our sweet Ellie as time goes on. Thank you for ALL the love, support, and even gifts that were sent to us in congratulations of our marriage. It truly was so sweet to recieve such love (especially in such a hard time), and we won’t soon forget it! Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions. Sending love and happiness to you all, Becky and Morgan Blanks

UPDATE 9/7/2020

Dearest friends and family,

We first want to thank you for your patience while we considered many scenarios for our upcoming wedding. We’ve made some difficult decisions, and also some that will make us still incredibly happy for the next step in our lives. We want to pretense that our decision was not taken lightly, and that if we weren’t in the midst of a pandemic things would absolutely be different! So without further adieu, here are our modified wedding plans: We are postponing our wedding reception to 11/20/2021 (a year from our initially planned celebration), in hopes that we can have our guest list of 150 people to celebrate with us. We expect it to be just as exciting and filled with love as our originally planned reception! We will be sending out postponement notifications soon, but wanted everyone to know here first so you know just what to expect. We will get these out as soon as we can. While we have made this decision for our reception, it is still on our hearts to get married this year. As most in this circle know, we have been together for almost 8 years now and are ready to start our journey into marriage, despite the pandemic that surrounds us all. We know things aren’t perfect, and frankly they never will be! So we have decided to continue with a very intimate wedding of just immediate family in attendance. This is to maintain as much safety and control over the events surrounding our special day. At the end of the day, we’re in love and are ready to become husband and wife! We love and care about everyone in our lives so deeply, and again want to acknowledge that nothing around these decisions was taken lightly. We appreciate everyone’s love and support through this, as you can imagine it’s been a tough process! We ask that you give us a little time to fully communicate these new plans before reaching out with questions, and appreciate your patience while we do so. Wishing you great health, happiness, and can’t wait to celebrate with EVERYONE next year! - B&M

UPDATE 8/7/2020

Hello dear friends and family! Well, here we are a little more than 3 months out from our wedding date and there’s not much improvement on the Covid front. To say we’re devastated would be fitting. So we want to be honest about steps and measures that could be taken for our wedding to ensure safety and to meet gathering protocol. We had an original guest list of 150 people, and while we were extremely excited to have this many guests, we are now strictly limited by Covid-19 gathering laws in Nevada. (We also realize it’s not November yet, so even this information is likely to change). At this point, we are making the conscious and extremely difficult decision to create a limited guest list based on these guidelines. We just want our loved ones to know it’s not you, it’s Covid! So while we don’t have anything finalized, we do ask for patience and understanding while we work through this option. We had planned on sending invitations around this time, but we will be holding onto these for just a bit longer. It is also worth noting that facemasks and social distancing will likely be enforced throughout ceremony and reception (until dancing opens up). In the interim, we only ask that if any of our guests know that they will not be able to attend or choose to not attend for any reason (hey, we get it!), that you let us know as soon as possible so we can make accommodations for other guests. We love you, we appreciate you, and wish everyone excellent health!
