Becky and Luka met in 2013 at Shrewsbury High School. They first became rivals in gym class while playing badminton and to this day the score is still up for debate! Luka is a grade ahead of Becky so they didn't see each other outside of gym class and when that semester was over they went their separate ways. Luckily they ended up reconnecting at a school dance and began getting to know each other, as friends. Shortly after that they started dating, attending each others soccer games, track meets and family events! They decided what they had was special and when Luka went off to college at Bentley University they chose to try long distance. A year later Becky got accepted into Baylor University and they really put long distance to the test! They continued to visit one another and spend summers together when, finally, after Becky graduated she moved back to Massachusetts. They got an apartment in Somerville where they lived for 2 years, as Luka was working as a IT manager and Becky as a Medical assistant. In 2022 Becky got accepted into medical school as a podiatric surgeon. They made the move halfway across the country to Chicago where they bought their first house together. A year later they got their sweet puppy Penny and their little family has been falling deeper in love with each other ever since.

Luka proposed to Becky August 3rd on a trip back home to their favorite city, Boston. The date started with an amazing dinner in Seaport and then dessert in the North End. As they were walking over the Seaport Boulevard bridge with the beautiful skyline in the background Luka got down to ask the easiest question of Becky's life!
