Becky and Logan’s story began in Denver, when Becky was visiting a college friend while living in Arizona. She first met Logan in the condo he and his friend had just moved into, where he was watching football—on a porch swing in the living room. (Yes, patio furniture inside. Yes, it made an impression.) Curious about sports, Becky asked, “What does Vols mean?” Logan confidently replied, “Tennessee Volunteers.” Becky was impressed, sat down next to him, and instantly felt at ease. Some might say it was love at first sight. After that weekend, Becky returned to Arizona, but the two stayed in touch. A few months later, their mutual friend invited them to San Diego, where sparks really began to fly. Still, with 800 miles between them, they figured it wasn’t realistic. That is, until Logan mentioned a DJ playing at Red Rocks two weeks later—and Becky promptly invited herself. From then on, the pattern was set: if more than 10 days passed without seeing each other, one of them was hopping on a plane. For the first year of their relationship, the airport was practically their second home. Two years after that fateful San Diego trip, Logan proposed in the very same city where it all began, with several of their close friends around to celebrate. Becky eventually moved to Denver, where the two now share a happy home (and plenty of porch furniture) with their dogs: Ammo, their fearless blind Dachshund, and Lily, their sweet, spunky Golden Retriever.
