Mary Royer

Matron of Honor

Mary and I became friends in the most common of ways: We met off of a Craig's List ad for a roommate and I decided she would become one of my first friends in the city whether she wanted to or not. What I didn't prepare for was to find a soul sister. We love hard and bicker even harder, but that's how I know she'll be family for life. Mary will go to battle for anyone she loves, and I am so thankful to have her in my corner of life and by my side on my wedding day.

Kendra Benesch

Matron of Honor

When I first met Kendra in graduate school, I thought she was a know it all and a teacher's pet. That hasn't really changed much. However, now I know that it's because she has a tenacity for learning and absorbing information as she constantly helps everyone in her life. It's hard to pinpoint exactly when Kendra became cemented in my life post grad school, but I am truly blessed that we always find each other when we need to.

Natalie Talbott

Bridesmaid

I was lucky to be born with an immediate friend for life, as Natalie and I were born merely 21 days apart and have often lived minutes from each other. While we technically were introduced as cousins, we have also been friends since birth, talk show hosts, performance actors, animal rescuers, city roommates, and now I'm honored to have her as my bridesmaid. We've been through so many walks of life and I can't wait to enter this next chapter with her by my side.

Julie Oliver

Bridesmaid

Julie and I were another fated friendship. We were suitemates at High Point our freshmen year with roommates we both didn't exactly bond with. Through a series of wonderful mishaps, I realized I needed to join Phi Mu and bond with this social enigma more. I rushed the following semester and was blessed to be chosen as her "Little". Throughout our early twenties, I spent many a weekend visiting her in Richmond, constantly threatening that I'm going to be her neighbor. When I met the cutest and sweetest guy from Richmond that Labor Day 2022, Julie was the first person I texted. Julie is one of those forever people, where a day never feels like it's passed since the last time we saw each other. I am so thankful that those absent days will be few and far between now that I am officially her 10 min-away neighbor.

Nicole Wright

Bridesmaid

Nicole and I first met through a nanny Facebook post, when I was desperately looking for some adult connection during my work days with 3 month old Olivia. We realized pretty quickly that our similarities extended beyond the age of our nanny kids. Our love of fitness, wine, and the very fine balance between the two is what started our friendship. But Nicole's dedication, fun spirit and selflessness is what helps keep our friendship going strong.

Caroline Short

Bridesmaid

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Caroline as my relationship with Justin has evolved. He's always said that his little sister is sweet, kind, and easy to talk and he was 100% right about it all. It's not hard to see why everyone gravitates towards Caroline and to see how easy it is for her to make friends with everyone she meets. As we settle into our new lives in Richmond, we look forward to many more college football Saturdays, Commanders games on Sundays, and rounds of golf (if they're willing to teach me!) with her.

Stacey Tripler

Bridesmaid

Stacey and I were almost never meant to be friends, but life had other plans. The second we started texting, it was clear that we had been missing elements in each others' lives. Her husband often refers to our interactions as left brain/right brain because we complete each other's thoughts. Through Stacey becoming a mom and an author, our friendship has only grown and I'm so happy to have her with me while I start on my own new journey.

Olivia Nigam

Junior Bridesmaid

For those who don't know, I've had the absolute honor to be Olivia's nanny since she was born. She has been my confidant and my best friend for over 8 years now. Olivia is bright, spunky, and full of joy. While she may not fully understand it now, she has been there through some of the biggest moments of my life. There is absolutely no way I could get married without her by my side.

Garrett Short

Best Man

Garrett and I were born 3 years apart, but it feels like we’ve been twins throughout much of our life. Whether it was attending the University of Virginia, joining Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity, or living together in Virginia & Maryland after college, we’ve always been step-for-step throughout life. We have so much in common and many of the same incredible people in our group of friends. I’m lucky to have a brother that is also my best friend and will cherish our close relationship for life. I will be honored to have him by my side as my Best Man when Rebecca and I say “I do!” in May!

Phillip Pandak

Groomsman

Phillip and I met when my family moved to Granville South in Richmond, VA when I was in elementary school. It was a relief to have someone my age in the neighborhood, but little did I know that my friendship with Phillip and the Pandaks would be one that I would treasure for the rest of my life. Whether playing pickup football at Fox Hall or spending the week at Corolla Light in the Outer Banks, Phillip is like a brother to me and I am so fortunate to have him standing next to me as I take this next step in life.

Timmy Nguyen

Groomsman

Timmy and I met in grade school and quickly formed a lifelong friendship by the time we were in high school at Deep Run in Richmond. Always a “good influence” (haha!), Timmy has been a true and great friend to me for as long as I can remember. I have been so lucky to grow up with Timmy and his family over the years – they are such wonderful people and we have had so many incredible memories. Timmy will always be my Asian brother and one of my best friends for life.

Whit Anthes

Groomsman

I met Whit in a very serendipitous way – Both of us were from Richmond, VA, but he went to Freeman High and I went to Deep Run. As it turned out, Whit had become friends with many of the guys I went to high school with during his college days at VMI. However, it wasn’t until we were interviewing for Ferguson Enterprises after college that we happened to meet in Chantilly, VA. After that, we shared work experiences and career growth together before deciding to become roommates, sharing a love for DC sports among other similarities (not to mention that we were born on the exact same day of the exact same year!). Whit has always been a great and true friend, always offering a dry sense of humor to give me a laugh.

Sonny Duke

Groomsman

Sonny (aka Stu aka DJ Sonny D aka DJ Lincoln) and I met at Deep Run High School when we shared a lunch table with our mutual group of friends. Shortly thereafter, we would reconnect when I arrived at UVA and again when I joined Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. Sonny is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met and he is never short on words of affirmation for those around him. We had some great times together living in Northern Virginia and have maintained a great friendship.

Taylor Zolbe

Groomsman

Taylor and I met in college when we both joined Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. Both avid Catholics, it’s no wonder that we ended up in a historically Jewish fraternity together. Some things just work out the way they’re supposed to. Taylor and I have bonded over a love for DC sports and a shared love for our families. He is one of the best people I know and I’ve treasured our friendship as it has grown over the years.
