We’re Getting Married!

Where do you even begin when trying to tell this story? Here are the highlights! They met at church when Garrett's family moved to a church that Becky's family had previously attended. Growing up together, they didn't always see eye to eye (aka... Garrett thought Becky was a bully and Becky thought Garrett was gross). Throughout high school Garrett and Becky started to form a friendship. That friendship grew and grew throughout their years together. Garrett attended most of the Lyle family events and went to each Sunday lunch. When Becky moved off to school the relationship drifted but they always chatted on the phone to keep each other up to date. One spring break, Becky came home to volunteer with the youth group and something was different between the two. On that trip, both of them started to gain feelings for each other but neither of them wanted to acknowledge how different it really was. After the trip, Garrett and Becky started talking on the phone regularly and Garrett eventually asked Becky to be his girlfriend.... but Becky said no... in fact Becky said no about 5xs. Becky was nervous to loose her best friend in the entire world. Eventually, Garrett convinced Becky to take a risk and go for it.

Garrett proposed to Becky in the most "them" way possible. Garrett accidentally sent a text to Becky the Monday before stating "Hey, I'm going to propose to Becky on Saturday". Even though Becky knew about the proposal it was the most magical moment and they wouldn't change a thing. 6 years later of long distance and dating these best friend are ready to get married.
