We reconnected in 2014 after Bryan moved back to Oregon from Colorado. The first time we hung out together was when I (Becky) invited Bryan to a camping trip at Devil's Lake to witness and celebrate my friend's (and now his friend's) wedding. Little did I know that Bryan wasn't a big fan of hiking, so we hiked South Sister. The wedding was a success and so was the start of our future together.

Christmas morning, 2016. Bryan said it's my turn to open his gift. He told me I should grab a chair. I really don't know why, but sometimes I never know what he is up to. I open the gift and there are a pair of wading boots for fly fishing. Now I understand why he brought the chair. These boots, however, were special and I was told that they came with a lifetime guarantee. That's when he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes!
