After meeting on Tinder and going on a few small "dates", which involved David driving backwards down a one-way street in Baltimore, David moved to Pensacola to begin flight school just 2.5 weeks after we met. We continued to stay in touch and talk for hours on FaceTime on a nightly basis. Just 2 months after being in Pensacola, I thought it would be a great trip to the beach, with a free place to stay!... My dad, not so much... "You've only known this guy a couple months and met him online!..." Well, we went on nightly walks and many beach adventures around the area, stayed up late talking about life. The week flew by and, the night before I left, I found myself in the middle of a Nicholas Sparks movie. David and I finished our nighttime walk and stayed in the driveway to talk a little more. While I was sitting on the trunk of his car, he embraced me in his arms and squeezed. He proceeded to whisper in my ear, "can I tell you something crazy?" to which I replied, "what's up?". David then said "I love you", picked me up and spun me around. I told him "I love you, too" and the rain came pouring down. We talked the next morning in the car and decided to give it a couple days for emotions to settle once back in our respective homes. On October 29, 2015, we made it official and began dating. Anyways, fast forward through our first deployment, 3 years and a couple months later, David proposed to me Feb. 2, 2019 at Universal Studios on a trip down to visit him in Jacksonville. Of course I said "YES!" and here we are now planning a ceremony to celebrate the start of our life together!
