Yes!! The ceremony will take place on the terrace overlooking the beautiful Nanticoke River and the reception under a tent. In the unfortunate event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the tent. Please send all your sunny day vibes!!
Parking will NOT be available at the residence. Complimentary shuttles will be provided from both the Comfort Inn and Hampton Inn. See further information regarding the hotels and parking under the “Travel” tab.
While we would be thrilled to include everyone, and we love your little ones, our venue has limited capacity. Invited guests will be named on your invitation, as they are on your “Save the Date.” Thank you for your understanding!
The dress for the day is Cocktail Attire. Suit and tie for men and cocktail dress/pantsuit for women. Spike heels are strongly discouraged due to the brick terrace and grass.
October isn't universally "very cold"; a transition month where temperatures vary greatly by location, but typically brings cooler, crisper fall weather. Expect cooler evenings, but daytime highs can still be pleasant or even hot, requiring layers. Typical temperatures in Seaford are in the high 60s, low 70s. Please monitor the weather as we get closer and plan accordingly. The tent will be heated for an unfortunate cold spell and for the expected chillier evening.
If you plan to arrive on Friday please join us in the evening for a meet & greet hosted by Chris’ parents at Abbott’s Grill on Broad Creek, 111 Delaware Avenue, Laurel, DE 19956, between 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available at the cash bar.
