During the summer of 24’ Sam took up a side job at Delight Doughnut in Yankton, SD. Beau would go through the drive thru almost every morning, so much so that Sam wouldn’t even ask for his order anymore as she already had it memorized. As summer came to an end, Sam was preparing to return to college for her final year and would no longer be working at the donut shop. When Beau found this out, he knew he had to “shoot his shot” before she was gone. He asked for her name and kindly asked if he could take her out on a date the following week to Mexico Viejo. The rest is history! Fun fact: A couple of days before their first date, Beau realized his license had been expired for over a month. He ended up using a rental car (A LIME GREEN KIA SOUL) from the shop to pick Sam up and even contemplated having her drive at home. Somehow, he still managed to keep her around after that :)
