Son of Honor
Justin: Our (almost) 9 year old dynamo is the official (self-proclaimed) Party Starter for our celebration. The aspiring American Ninja Warrior Junior contestant has a wide range of interests including Soccer, reading any book put in front of him, investigating ancient Greek theology, and creating graphic novels. Jackson loves dancing and answering quiz questions, so when you see him challenge him to a dance battle or ask him to name some State Capitals!
The Party Starter
Becky: This marriage not only means making a commitment to Justin, but one to Jackson. I am beyond blessed to have him in my life and can't wait to officially be a Mascio along with him and Justin. Jackson is an AMAZING kid (yes I'm biased) and keeps me laughing, reading, dancing, singing, Yahtzee-ing and on my toes! His role in our wedding is so important that we all worked to come up with his official name. He is definitely ready to get the party started!
Maid of Honor
Growing up I always looked up to my sister- I wanted to do whatever she was doing and hang out with her friends and borrow her clothes. There were times that it went over well and other times it ended in a fight and usually someone crying (probably me). But throughout life, Sarah has always had my back, been there for advice, encouraged my continued NKOTB love (Blockheads forever) and made me laugh. From dressing up Barbies and playing Mervyn's or library with our label makers to Perrelli Street block parties and dance performances on our front lawn, we always had fun! She will forever be stuck with her “little sister” wanting to be around her and I can’t wait to have her standing up next to me as I marry Justin! ❤️
Maid of Honor
Jen and I met at SJSU while studying Child & Adolescent Development. I still remember seeing her in a few of my classes and thinking- “she seems cool, I need to become friends with her.” Lucky for me I think she felt the same way and we became fast friends! We hung out more and more outside of school and I talked her into joining the CV crew. We also determined we should move in together and that meant endless shenanigans- theme night cooking, game nights, DDs, Big Brother and so much more. David also got roped into our madness, or at least putting up with the two of us! The years have been filled with many memories, tears, trips, shopping, Rock Chick adventures and even more laughter. I could not do this whole thing without my best friend by my side!! ❤️
Best Man
Justin: Paul is one half of the best-man dynamic duo, code-name Black Widow (he has nice legs and is a secret CIA agent). Paul and I met a few years after I moved to New York City when he was studying at Fordham Law School to be a fancy lawyer. After socializing and invites to his West New York condo, we became fast friends. Our friendship strengthened over the years through professional changes and a shared love of Tennis, cauldron cuisine, and Poker. A skilled strategist, Paul enjoys cooking way too much breakfast food and staying up past bedtime. When you see Paul, ask him questions about legal contracts and what kind of Beer he is drinking!
Best Man
Carl is the other half of the best-man dynamic duo, code-name Hulk (you won't like him when he's angry, and he genuinely enjoys green vegetables). Carl, Paul, and I met around the same time in the Fordham Law School social circles - a true born New Yorker, Carl always knew the right corner of the city to get lost in - a real challenge trying to one-up Carl when I was still wet-behind-the-ears in Manhattan - our friendship blossomed over a shared love of Baseball and logic games. Many a search for chicken wings and introspection emboldened our friendship - we have decidedly opposite athletic pursuits - Carl is an avid runner, & has run half-marathons in too many States to count. When you see Carl, ask him why he hates wearing shorts and when he is going to run a marathon in Hawaii!
Bridesmaid
Becca and I met at SJSU while studying Child & Adolescent Development. Times there consisted of lots of hours in class, group projects and then planning our own graduation. Becca luckily joined the “decorating committee” that was formed and that was the beginning of the Rock Chicks- initiation through Jell-O shots. Becca always had this sweet and thoughtful demeanor and her positivity was seriously contagious. Post graduation saw moves and changes but once we were all in SJ the fun began. Light rail rides, nights out on 2nd Street, and lots of game nights (Charoodles!!) brought tons of laughs and memories. Becca is a Thumper pro, always up for a silly photo op and has the best name! Can’t wait to celebrate together!
Groomsman
Justin: Mike is the first of my 5 groomsmen best friends stretching back to High School - our friendship started in the drama performances of High School and calculus tests of yesteryear. Mike has shoveled plenty of my relationship weight over the years and is a true friend with a lousy golf game. When you see Mike, ask him why New Jersey drivers get a bad rap and when he is going to run for Mayor!
Bridesmaid
Nicole and I met at SJSU while studying Child & Adolescent Development. I'm pretty sure there were some glorious group projects involved. She (and the jello shots) helped to form the Rock Chicks at our graduation. She roped me into trying out ice hockey and I am forever grateful. The Hockey fam has been such an incredible part of my life bringing in all of the amazing people/teammates through the years, Arizona Classic trips, theme nights, ABZero, Sharks games, Stanleys, and Frezzo. Nic was one that could rope me in to most things- Hockey, Team in Training 1/2 marathons, random scavenger hunts, jello shots, nights at Goosetown, you name it! Always laughing, never the driver, super sarcastic and 1st to find the cat. Excited for her to prep me to be Barbie arm ready in every photo!
Groomsman
I remember meeting Chuck in high school at Track and Field practice - I was a football holdout looking for something heavy to throw in the spring and he was a tall guy who liked to pole vault (hold for laughter). Chuck is the glue of our high school friends, always ready to listen to my shenanigans or to get together and tape beers to his hands for a friend. When you see Chuck, ask him why he is so Stoic and if his recent shoulder surgery has affected his Beer Pong skills!
Bridesmaid
Noel and I met when I transferred to USD. I remember how nervous I was to meet my new roommates. Noel was such a welcoming presence and we got comfortable right away. Our friendship grew fast that year with late night conversations that turned into non-stop laughter, laundry piles in the closet, KIXY 96.5, pink jumpsuits (not ours), Absolut ads for the wall, IM conversations across the room and countless episodes of Friends played from my VHS recordings. After leaving USD we stayed in touch and I knew Noel would be a forever friend! I love our times together and so excited to have her standing with me at my wedding!
Groomsman
I remember meeting Dan in high school playing video games at a mutual friend's house when skipping class one day. The dopey cross country runner and I had seemingly very little in common when we first met, but we found we both have a laissez-faire attitude to life and a penchant for adventurous scheming. A recently transformed Texan, we've kept our long distance friendship strong by both loving Frio Light and the joys of fatherhood. When you see Dan, ask him about the Bread Truck and what seat he likes best on a Southwest narrow-body.
Bridesmaid
Terra was my first friend. Born 8 days apart in July our moms always said we became friends in the nursery at First Baptist Church. I still remember our play date to trade stickers before Terra moved to Oregon. Man I missed her while she was gone! Once back though we got right back to it. Passing notes between classes at South Valley Jr High, making up code names for boys and then into field hockey & golf team adventures at GHS. Whether it was walking with Bill Murray at the Pebble Beach Pro Am, playing Terra’s mom in our senior class play “Fame”, or slumber partying- we always had fun! When I moved to San Diego it was the best feeling knowing that Ter was there too. Lots of adventures down there in the convertible “Oreo!” Peanut butter.... I need you with me on my wedding day!
Groomsman
I remember meeting Joe in high school on the football field (thankfully as a teammate) - a eternal overachiever, our friendship grew during college with travel to Boston and sharing the construction of our lives together after graduations. Joe is a great friend and always surprisingly introspective. When you see Joe, ask him if he still carries tape with him and why he likes really really bad beer.
Bridesmaid
Suzanne is my oldest niece and I always promised her that she would be a flower girl at my wedding. Well, she’s been promoted to a bridesmaid! She is sweet and thoughtful and has grown into such a wonderful person. Watching her grow up and triumph through lots of life's challenges and obstacles, I am so proud of the woman she has become. We don't get to see each other as much as we would like but know that we are just a phone call away. I am so excited to have Suzanne stand up with me as I get married!
Groomsman
Scott and I met in high school by swimming in the same social circles - we dipped in and out of "knowing" each other through after school clubs or engineering classes, but our bond grew after graduation. A friendship based on competition (its healthy, I swear!) and a shared love of adventure and experiencing life to its fullest has kept us going strong. When you see Scott, ask him about that time at the place he did that thing and if we're ever going to go back to Virginia Beach!
Flower Girl
Neha is our 10-year old niece who lives in Texas. When Neha was little, family always commented on how she looked like Aunt Becky as a child. So of course we need the “mini me” to be part of our special day!! She is an energetic (she gets up too early), silly (lots of selfie faces left on phones) and driven. Full of many passions; when she isn’t playing softball or Minecraft you can find her doing legos, skating, riding bikes or thinking about horses. We can always count on Neha for some flossing, lots of laughs and a silly face selfie. Can’t wait to celebrate together on the big day!
Flower Girl
Adelaide is our 7-year old niece who lives in California. We have many memories of her and Jackson out by the creek on Old Mill Road, doing performances together or playing wiffle ball on the grass. She is full of energy and spunk, loves Disney, performing and singing and we miss having her sweet face on the East Coast with us! We are so excited to have her back in PA with us and part of the wedding party!
Ring Bearer
Noah is our 6-year old nephew who lives in Austin, Texas. He loves animals and cars and is a thrill-seeker on his skateboard, bike or mini-motorbike. He’s always up for trying new sports from T-ball to basketball to flag football and roller skating- he will give them all a shot! Noah gives the best snuggles, is a true storyteller and can give a grin that will melt your heart. Watch out ladies- he may steal you for some dances at the wedding! We are so glad that Noah will be our Ring Security!
Officiant
Becky: I still remember the first time I hung out with Sarah & Stephen together. He was sporting his picnic table shirt and ordering Long Island Iced Teas which we never let him live down. Since then, Stephen's taste in drinks and clothing has definitely changed but his fun personality and energy has remained the same. I was so happy to welcome Stephen into the family as my brother and he was just as welcoming to Justin over the past years which makes me love him even more! Justin: Stephen is an amazing father, husband, coach, so i'm more than excited to call him brother! Almost also as good of a hair-stylist, which i'll hopefully never have to experience! We love you Stephen! We are so excited to have Stephen stand up with us and make our marriage official!
