Last November we had a beautiful wedding ceremony on an absolutely picturesque day overlooking Lake Michigan. And after a year and a half of social distancing and postponing celebration plans, we are even more excited to celebrate our first year of marriage with all of our closest friends and family! We will be having a short renewal ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour and our long awaited reception. Come dressed to impress and ready to party twice as hard with very happily married Mr. and Mrs Keyes.
Although we would love for everyone's entire family to be able to attend the party of the year, we ask that you leave the little ones at home. We hope you take this opportunity to let loose and dance the night away!
We met at Becca's brother's wedding, where Kevin was the Best Man. Kevin caught her attention with his phenomenal speech and dance moves, and he asked her to dance. We spent the rest of the evening dancing together and stayed in touch after the wedding, even dating long distance for two years between Atlanta and Chicago!
Under the guise of a double date, a trip was planned to the Chicago Botanic Gardens' Lightscape. After walking through A Garden of Fire and Singing Trees, we came upon the Cathedral of Lights where Kevin dropped down to his knee, pulled out a handmade ring box and asked Becca to marry him. She was so enamored with her sparkling hand that she didn't hear what he said or notice the other 1000s of lights around her.
