FAQs

FAQ's and Information for the Wedding Day
Question

How do I RSVP? When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP here on our wedding website. Simply click on the RSVP tab, enter your name as it appears on your invitation envelope, and indicate your attendance. RSVP's are due on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests who have been formally invited on the wedding invitation. If you receive a plus-one, your indicated guest will appear below your name on your RSVP. Thank you for your understanding, and please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of invited guests. We encourage you to use the evening as a "night out" for yourselves!

Question

What if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you for your consideration!

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and the cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will be indoors/under cover. Wear comfortable shoes for grass, gravel, cobblestone paths, and LOTS of dancing!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up on our big day! Dress in your favorite semi-formal/cocktail or business attire. Please no jeans or denim and avoid shades of white. Slacks/khakis with a collared shirt (blazers/sport-coats and/or tie optional), jumpsuits, cardigans, cocktail dresses, and floor-length dresses are all wonderful options. Bring your dancing shoes! Feel free to dress in the wedding color pallet of blues and golds, or you may choose to wear fall colors that will match the gorgeous scenery!

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Upon arriving at Castleton, you will be directed to the parking area by on-site attendants. There will also be staff in golf carts to chauffeur you from your vehicle to the ceremony site, if necessary. If you will need assistance to get from your parked vehicle to the ceremony site, just flag a cart driver down! They are happy to assist.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for assisted parking, shuttling to the ceremony site, and finding your seat.

Question

What do I do if I am late to the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that if you are late to the ceremony, please do not attempt to walk down the aisle and find a seat. While we want all of our family and friends to be able to experience the ceremony, we would appreciate that any late arrivals please remain off to the side or join us during cocktail hour. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be silenced and put away. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographers and videographer to be able to capture everything - including your smiles and tears of joy! Feel free to take photos of the backdrop once the ceremony recessional has finished, as well as photos of anything and everything during the reception. We will share all of our professional photos from the ceremony with our guests, and please share with us your own photos of the rest of the evening!

Question

Is there assigned seating?

Answer

For the ceremony, the only reserved seating will be the front two rows on either side for memorials, immediate family, and certain members of the wedding party. Please sit anywhere else according to your preference! We kindly ask that you leave some seats on the back row available for guests who arrive closer to the start time so that everyone can find a seat as quickly as possible. For the reception, there will be a seating chart for the dinner tables to help guests find their tables.

Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Drinks are on us! We will have an open bar during cocktail hour and the reception with a limited menu and signature cocktails. We want our guests to have fun and let loose, but please enjoy responsibly. We also want our beloved guests to get home safely! Please come prepared with a designated driver if you will be drinking.

Question

Will dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Answer

Please indicate any dietary restrictions on your RVSP. We should be able to accommodate most dietary restrictions that are directly related to the health and well being of our dear guests. This includes any guests who are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, or have food-related allergies. If your dietary restriction is not included in this list, please let us know regardless.
