Maid of Honor
Friends since 2007 when we lived in the same dorm (shoutout Hodgdon Hall) freshman year at Tufts. Originally from Dallas, so she may have an accent when inebriated. She stalked me across the country when I moved to LA (aka started working for the Getty at the same time I started med school). Art historian extraordinaire, Ph.D in the making, and my unofficial life stylist.
Best Man
Brotha from the same motha. He's the reason why I was good kid growing up. He taught me to not light things on fire and to not steal cars and crash them. Til this day, he still walks a little funny. Love him, and not because I have to.
Man of Honor
We met when we were in the same small group during the first week of med school. He put up with living with me even though I ended up adopting two cats and one live-in boyfriend. Also on that Ph.D grind with Emily, although his is in small cell lung cancer (the details of which are over my head, but just know he is doing big things). Way nicer than what you'd expect from someone so smart and handsome.
Best Man
Best friends since high school. He claims he stole me away from my original break-dancing friends and made me cool. The truth is, I made him normal. Went to college together and applied to med school together. He really won't leave me alone.
Bridesmaid
Fate randomly paired us as med school roommates for the first two years - I truly lucked out. First thing I learned about her was that she is a beer enthusiast. Lover of all animals, including her cat-daughter Luna. She abandoned me to go live in NorCal and do family med residency at Stanford, and I miss her dearly. Very athletic, will kick your butt in all sports.
Best Man
It was love at first sight since kindergarten. We've been best buds since. I knew him as the chubby, nerdy kid. Now he's a buff, nerdy kid. Went to high school and college with him and I basically introduced him to his wife. You're welcome.
Bridesman
I initially knew him as the guy at my assigned lecture table in med school who would shamelessly nap in the front row. He is my acquaintance turned study buddy turned friend for life, and is now an internal med MD at Mount Sinai in NYC, which is too far away for my liking but what can you do? He is a loyal friend who can always be counted on to tell it like it is.
Groomsman
Met this buffoon in college. We were in the same dorms at UC Davis and eventually moved in together. We spent hours talking about our feelings at night and seeing who can rip the loudest fart. Love this man. He's always a good time, especially if you get a little tequila in him.
Bridesmaid
We became fast friends in our residency program. A fierce lover of her family and friends, and is the best at calling just to talk. Somehow always has the inside scoop on everything. She loves all things Harry Potter, so much so that it featured heavily in her wedding!
Groomsman
Met this beautiful man in medical school. Most positive person you'll ever meet. Ex-college football player. Spent countless hours studying with him, where he taught me that brains and brawn are not mutually exclusive. Most well known for the way he commands the dance floor.
Bridesmaid
Also surviving residency with me! She only ever has nice things to say about anyone, and is always appreciative of a cute animal pic or vid. Pescatarian with a weakness for chicken wings.
Groomsman
Met this crazy-energetic bachelor in med school and now we're together in residency. He's my man crush and my hype-man. Spend one minute with him and he'll somehow convince you to get tacos and beer. Most well known for the amount of raves he's been too.
