Becca and Silas met at a guest ranch in California called JH ranch in the summer of 2022. Becca was in the kitchen and Silas was on maintenance. What started out as short interactions while Silas would take out the kitchen trash, quickly turned into a lifelong friendship! Although Becca was raised by the beach in San Diego and Silas was raised on a farm in Alabama, they quickly realized how similar they were and how they could make one another laugh harder than anyone else could. They kept in touch and remained good friends until the spring of 2024 when they realized what they had was too special to pretend like they could just be friends forever! And as always, the Lord's timing was nothing short of perfect. From the first day they started dating, they decided that they would do their best to see each other at least once a month. Becca was currently doing nursing school in Texas and Silas was working a full time job in Alabama. Despite all odds, they were able to see each other every month successfully for almost 2 years straight. Although the distance was challenging, it made their time together that much more cherished and special. Now, they are ready to put their distance to an end and do life together! Both of them are counting down the days until they don't have to FaceTime one another and lower their screen time by at least 70%. They will be happily living in Coeur d'Alene, ID where they can have adventures together. In terms of their future, they are praying that the Lord will use this marriage for His good. They are waiting with anticipation to see where the Lord might lead them- whether it be somewhere close to home or a few plane rides away. Matthew 28:16-20
