We met during the summer of 2023 while working at Camp Deer Run! Becca had grown up going to camp there, while Ryan was experiencing CDR for the very first time as a staff member. During 2nd session, we ended up in the same group and caught each other’s attention. A few weeks into camp, Ryan wrote Becca a note. Thankfully, she wrote back… and the rest is history!
After 4th session, all the staff went to Paris for the weekend…Paris, Texas! We rode there together, and on Saturday we went on our first date! We had lunch at Dos Marias Mexican Restaurant, walked around the downtown square, and even saw the Eiffel Tower 🇫🇷⭐ It was the perfect first date!
On March 7th 2026, Ryan proposed! Becca and Ryan had gone home to visit Becca's family, while secretly, he was planning the proposal. They went on a walk through a park with Izzy (Becca's best friend) and her fiancé. Becca had no idea what was happening as they walked up to a decorated gazebo, where Ryan asked Becca to marry him! Right after they got engaged, another couple got engaged in the same place! It was a good place and day to get engaged! After celebrating and taking photos, both of their families were waiting at a local restaurant to celebrate with them, and when they got back to school, Becca’s close friends had planned an engagement party waiting for them too. It was such a sweet, joyful, and unforgettable day!
