The dress code is formal. What does formal mean? Think floor length or cocktail dress for women and suit or sport coat for men. We aren't too picky, whatever makes you feel dressed up for the occasion; however, formal does not mean jeans, sneakers, etc.
The church and hotel/reception are 10-15 minutes apart. Ample parking is available at the church for the ceremony. Hewing offers valet parking at the following rates: 0 – 3 hrs $29.54 + tax 3 – 8 hrs $40.09 + tax Overnight $58.03 + tax A public parking lot is located next door to the hotel at 326 N Washington Ave. Please ensure proper payment is made to avoid any ticketing/towing. Because the hotel and reception are at the same location, we hope that your own two feet will suffice as transportation at the end of the evening. If you are not staying at the hotel, please utilize Ubers as needed.
We are opting to skip a "first look", so we will be taking all couple's photos between the ceremony and reception. We hope that this timeline gives you a chance to make your way downtown after the ceremony, get settled in, and grab a drink. We will join the party as soon as we are able! Hotel check-in begins at 3:00pm. If you have not arranged for an early check-in, please utilize the time in between the ceremony and cocktail hour to do so. If you find yourself with additional time on your hands, we recommend checking out the Hewing's rooftop bar or the Monte Carlo patio across the street.
