Yes, well kinda. It's the party half of it! The small ceremony took place on December 26th, 2019. We will be doing the big party on May 2nd, 2020!
We had an old fashioned living room wedding. The intimate ceremony was officiated by Nat's mother the day after Christmas in the tiny town of Hancock, New Hampshire. The location of the ceremony was sentimental as both families have established important memories in the town. There was a standing room only crowd of ten in the living room that day!
Though we had a super meaningful and small ceremony, we have elected to forgo many of the rituals surrounding traditional weddings. Things included in this wedding: Two lifetime's work of pulling together the most incredible people. Large quantities of amazing food served in the simplest manner. Some very meaningful statements to a gathering of great people. The giant paper flower proposal wreath. Delicious, danceable tunes into the night. Near unlimited supplies of alcohol made by the Bride and Groom themselves. Access to the world's finest chocolate. The bragging rights for partying with us in a private venue in New York's most up and coming neighborhood. Things forgone for this wedding: Matching Dresses. Groomsmen. Matching Suits. Suits in General. A Cake. General Herding of People. Assigned Seats. A Bridal Party. A Ceremony to Sit Through. Mandatory Dances. Mandatory Speeches. Let's keep it light and simple, people!
Yourself, dressed wearing something that makes you feel pretty! Beverages of your preference (alcoholic or not), if you don't like hard cider or gin & tonics. Coolers will be available. A dessert if you are feeling ambitious. We will be providing all food -except- for dessert so bring it along for yourself and others if you've got a sweet tooth!
ASAP. Definitely by April 15th. But honestly we are not doing table settings so we're fairly flexible.
If we missed a significant other in the invite, then absolutely! Just let us know!
