Located just a 30 minute walk from Lionshead along the Gore Creek Trail the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens is a beautiful botanical garden. There is no required admission fee, but donations are highly suggested.
The Booth Falls Trail is a moderate hike outside of Vail. We recommend going early as there is limited parking and it gets crowded. The views from the falls are worth the elevation gain!
This hike is not for the faint of heart. It starts of hard and just continues the entire way up the front slopes of Vail. Gorgeous views and hopefully some pretty golden aspens!
The Gore Creek Trail is a paved multiuse trail perfect for walks and bike rides. You can rent bikes from multiple places in town or your hotel may have them as an amenity.
Gondola One in Vail Village and the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead operate from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $55 for adults.
There are multiple options for Mountain Biking in the Vail area, including on the Vail slopes. Taking the chairlift up with the bikes is a lot easier than biking up the mountain!
The Vail Farmers Market is a can't miss if you are around Sunday morning. It is located in Vail Village
Please see Vail's website for recommendations on other hikes in the Vail area!
We know, we know, this is a seafood recommendation in the middle of the Rockies. However, since Becca is from New England and Jake is from Alaska, you can trust our recommendation!! This is a fun spot for an nice date night out.
Great elevated Mexican/tacos and the margs do not disappoint! Note - if you are are member of the wedding party, this is where the rehearsal dinner is being held.
Vendetta's has two different experiences. There is a formal dining room downstairs for dinner. Would definitely recommend a reservation. There is also a bar area upstairs serving pizza and other more casual items.
More casual, good spot for pub food
Great lunch spot by the river!
Great sandwiches! Easy to grab to go and take on a hike or walk. If you are going on a walk, you can sit by one of the numerous picnic tables along the Gore Creek.
Grab a slice or a whole pie. Located across from the Vail Village Vail Brewing Company location, you can also grab pizza and bring it into the brewery. That's what Jake and Becca plan to do for Thursday night welcome drinks!
Our favorite affordable breakfast/brunch in town!
More expensive but a wonderful European breakfast buffet experience if you feel like splurging!
Perfect for your afternoon Affogato! Also open for coffee and breakfast in the morning.
