FAQs

Question

Are there still Covid restrictions?

Answer

Sadly yes. New Orleans is currently under a city wide mask mandate. Additionally, anyone 12 years of age and older must provide proof of at least one dose of an approved COVID vaccine or negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of event. If you do not have either you will not be admitted into any venue, bar, restaurant, etc. Please visit https://ready.nola.gov/incident/coronavirus/safe-reopening/ for more info. We have been working with our vendors as the city reopens and government rules constantly change. We will keep everyone posted, please be patient as things change. Yes, we hate this too. While we would love to have the wedding we originally planned we also want everyone to be safe.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Come fancy but comfortable, and ready to party.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation to see if a plus one is included. We are very strict on numbers due to fire codes of the building.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No, but the hotels we have selected are within walking distance. There are also plenty of Ubers.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will be doing a 2nd Line in between the ceremony and reception. Come prepared to walk a few blocks. If you don't wish to participate in the parade, there will be balconies to watch from and cheer us on.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No. Sorry, adults only.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, please see registry page. But we understand your trip might be expensive, we would rather have you at our wedding than gifts.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, please see travel page. Regardless if you book a hotel in our block, you will want to book sooner than later.

Question

Do you realize K-State plays KU the day before your wedding?

Answer

Of course! Once kickoff time is announced we will provide details of when and where we are watching the game. All are welcome to join. Go Cats!

For all the days along the way
