When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! We would love for you to RSVP as soon as you can but the deadline will be 31st January 2025. If we do not hear from you by this date we will assume you unfortunately can’t make it. You can RSVP through our RSVP page—it’s quick and easy!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at 1pm, as the bar will be open for you to enjoy a drink before the ceremony, which will begin promptly at 2pm.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage you to dress smartly and comfortably for the occasion. Feel free to dress in formal or semi-formal attire, and don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking available at The Old Hall Ely for all guests. We recommend arriving early to secure a spot. Guests are welcome to leave their car in the carpark overnight but please make sure to collect it by 10am the following day.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are a number of nearby hotels and B&Bs for guests to choose from. Please refer to the accommodation and taxi section of this website.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Old Hall Ely. Detailed directions and parking information can be found on the "Location" page.

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this celebration is for adults only. We hope you’ll take the evening to relax, enjoy the festivities, and maybe even let loose on the dance floor!

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We won’t be providing transportation, but we’ve made sure the venue is easy to reach! The Old Hall Ely is just a short drive from Ely, and there is ample parking available on-site. If you’re staying at one of the nearby hotels, we recommend carpooling or using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft for convenience. We have been advised that Guests will need to prebook taxis to collect them at the end of the night. Local Taxis numbers are provided via the " Accomodation & Taxi" section. Feel free to reach out if you need additional tips for getting to or from the venue!

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! We don’t have a traditional registry, but if you’d like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, it would mean so much to us. Your generosity will help us create unforgettable memories as we start this new chapter together. Thank you for thinking of us!

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

We want everyone to enjoy the day (and the food!). When you RSVP, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, and our catering team will be happy to accommodate you.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held indoors, but we’re hoping to enjoy parts of the reception outdoors, weather permitting! If the weather cooperates, there will be spaces to mingle, relax, and celebrate under the open sky. If it’s chilly or rainy, don’t worry—we’ve got cozy indoor plans to keep everyone comfortable and happy. Keep an eye on the forecast as the date approaches and feel free to dress accordingly!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep your phones and cameras away during the ceremony so you can fully enjoy the moment with us. Don’t worry—our photographer will capture all the special moments, and we’ll share the photos with you afterward!
